About the project

The year 1 summer program for students ran from June 2, 2008 – July 3, 2008. The overarching themes for the program were force and motion. Students completed projects at the UMN-Twin Cities and Crookston campuses, we well as the Circle of Life School. Reach For The Sky in the news

A week-long teacher and after-school staff training occurred from July 21- 25, 2008. Thirty-two teachers, principals, and after-school staff attended the training which focused on inquiry-based science instruction and integration of technology and mathematics into science lessons. for more information click on the Teacher Workshop tab.

The Fall 2008 after school curriculum focused on bridge design. Details an be found by clicking the links to the right.

The year 2 summer program for students ran from June 1, 2009 – June 30, 2009. The overarching themes for the program were wind energy and water energy. Students completed projects at the Circle of Life School and the ReDiscovery Center as well as a field trip to the UM Morris campus.
